Open your book!!

Families and friends,

Are you ready to join us in our amazing journey?? Then grab a sit, clear your throat, and open your book!

Since school year is coming to an end, we’ve decided to wish this year good-bye through beginning a journey we’ve been incredibly excited about! The last weeks of June will be entirely devoted to books. The Elephants have been learning about emotions with “Happy Hippo, Angry Duck”, a book written by Sandra Boynton that deals with feeling frazzled, confused, amused, excited and contented! All of that while learning about different animals!

The Horses have gone on a bear hunt without even leaving the school! We’ve gone through a river, we’ve gone through mud (that we’ve made ourselves) and into a cave where one shiny wet nose, two big furry ears, and two big goggly awaited for us!!

Book: “We’re Going on a Bear Hunt” by Helen Oxenbury & Michael Rosen

The Giraffes have learn about where animals live, what animals look like, and what animals eat while reading “The Gruffalo” (by Julia Donaldson & Axel Scheffler), did you know one of the Gruffalo’s favourite food is Owl ice-cream? Without a doubt, getting to play Gruffalo is our favourite part: we’ve shake our terrible claws, and knobbly knees while reading such a thrilling story! What else is there to be this covered?

See you soon,

Miss Jacquie
