Working and learning!!

Hello families and friends,

For today’s post the teachers of Magnolia would like to give you an update on what we are working and learning about in English class these past few weeks…

The Elephants of the P3 class are learning about animals: their names, where they live and what they do. We believe that the best way to learn and strengthen their knowledge of English is singing, playing and in this case become the main characters of the jungle and savannah. 

In addition to this vocabulary, our elephants have been enjoying playing with Flashcards, learning new words and pronunciation and practicing new simple structures.

Kelly remains present in every English session, this help our students to feel more comfortable and give them the confidence to be an active part of the session.

The Horses of the P4 class are learning, together with Flash Fox, new vocabulary words about family members and emotions. Also, learning about shapes, primary colors and numbers. But the most exciting part is that they are learning to guide the Daily Routine all by themselves.

Every day, a horse becomes the “mini teacher” of the day and guides the daily questions of weather, feelings and calendar (day of the week). It has been amazing how fast they are developing the confidence to do it and the motivation they are demonstrating towards participating and engaging into it. I promise we will post more about this in the upcoming trimester!

And last, but not least, the Giraffes from P5 are learning all about the alphabet, specially about letters A, B, C and D. They have had lots of fun learning and singing the ABC song, as you can see in the video. They seem to be having fun!
