Our project
Discover the project and objective of Magnolia
Our project promotes the abilities of each child based on sensory, motor and intellectual capacities, integrating the most traditional methodologies with the latest knowledge, such as: María Montessori, Glenn Doman, Howard Gardner, Bernard Aucouturier and Loris Malaguzzi (Reggio Emilia)
MULTIPLE INTELLIGENCES
Comprehensive education emphasizes the development of multiple intelligences according to Howard Gardner, combining intellectual abilities with emotional qualities. In addition to technical knowledge, it focuses on values and social skills.
EARLY LEARNING
Glenn Doman’s methodology in our school focuses on taking advantage of the high learning capacity of children in their early years, using auditory, visual and physical stimulation techniques, integrated in a natural and fun way.
VESS Certified School
This pedagogical model is based on the culture of thought, focused on teaching children to think, reason and question. Through thinking routines, they learn to process information and apply it in various situations. More information
Trilingual school
At Magnòlia, Catalan, Spanish, and English are taught. For children aged 0 to 3, the TET method is used for English instruction, focusing on real-life, playful contexts such as daily routines and songs, promoting spontaneous language acquisition.
For the 3 to 6 year old group, an English language assistant is present throughout the day, and the English Labs methodology is used, integrating English into the daily routine in a natural way.
Psychomotor skills
At Magnòlia, early development (0-6 years) in neuronal, motor and emotional areas is valued. Psychomotor skills are used to promote body expression and motivation in a welcoming environment, carrying out activities such as swinging and jumping. These practices are integrated with the First Time Apprenticeships program.
Art and music
At Magnòlia, music is key to child development, being used for communication, expression, and pleasure. Contributes to improving memory, concentration, coordination, rhythm, and sensory stimulation. Daily musical activities include auditions, songs, instruments, dances, and musical games.
Green School
Magnòlia contributes to the environment by integrating recycling, water savings and care of forests and planets, along with an urban garden in its project. This program seeks to involve educational centers in building a more sustainable world for the future of children.
Emotional education
At Magnòlia, we promote an environment in which the child feels loved and welcomed through motivation, interest and the desire to overcome new challenges, allowing the child to advance in their knowledge of the environment and themselves. This is how we achieve comprehensive and solid training for life.
Relationship with families
We understand that the collaboration and participation of families is key in the educational task. That is why we encourage daily contact between the family and the tutor of each student since it is important to work together and, thus, promote the harmonious and comprehensive development of the child.
UNESCO
Magnòlia, associated with UNESCO since 1997-98, adheres to its plan to promote international cooperation and peace through education. It focuses on teaching solidarity, tolerance, and respect, in addition to promoting knowledge of various cultures, all with the support of the family for the comprehensive development of the child.
Annual Project
Our center annually develops a project based on the VESS model, with a monthly focus on different Units of Inquiry, artists and countries. Daily activities follow this framework, integrating modern and diversified pedagogical practices, guided by protocols established by the teaching team.
Yoga Teacher Training
At Magnolia, children’s yoga in English has been integrated to complement the comprehensive development of the child, led by a Yoga Teacher Training. This practice aims to improve body control, self-esteem, channel energy and promote healthy habits, aligning with the school’s English language immersion.
Solidarity school
The Magnòlia Kindergarten participates in solidarity projects, including collecting clothes with GLOOR, food with the FOOD BANK, support for the FUNDACIÓ VICENTE FERRER in Sant Jordi, and a Christmas campaign to collect toys for hospitalized children, promoting empathy and solidarity In the kids.
